This child sized carousel zebra was given to the present owner by the prominent Ford family of Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She was au pair for the family and when they redecorated their nursery and changed things out, they gifted this to her. It is 20th century, hand-painted with a green saddle, and has glass eyes. The zebra is 26” H. x 47” W (not including the stand). There is some wear to the paint but it still retains most of its color and all of its character. All you carousel experts out there, does this look American or European to you? If anyone is interested in viewing this figure just let us know!
