"Kantra 1II for 'Charities'."  Op Art serigraph on paper showing two grey crescents atop one another and nine columns of seven white circles on black ground.  Signed lower right in pencil "Vassarely" and numbered "241/250."  "Kantara 1II for 'Charities'" in pencil on reverse.  20 1/2" x 16" s.s.

Vasarely (1906-1997) was an Hungarian-French artist, often named the father of Op Art.

Bought from Lorenz Gallery, 7023 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Maryland, 8/3/1978,
